1. What exactly is electrolysis?

Think of it as the only way to say goodbye to unwanted hair forever. We use a tiny, super-fine probe to send a quick "zap" of energy straight to the root of the hair. This stops the hair from ever growing back. Unlike laser which, just reduces hair, this actually gets rid of it permanently.

2. Does it hurt?

Everyone is different, but most people say it feels like a tiny pinch or a quick, warm tingle. It’s definitely something you can handle! If you’re worried, taking ibuprofen before helps, or you can even use a little numbing cream before you come in to make it super easy.

3. Why do I need more than one visit?

Accepted Answer

Hair is kind of sneaky, it grows in "waves." Some hairs are growing while others are "sleeping" under your skin. We can only zap the ones that are currently growing. To make sure we catch every single hair root, we have to treat them a few times over 2-3 years. But once the hair is gone, it wont come back, ever!

4. Will it work on my skin or hair type?

YES! That is the best part. Lasers usually only work if you have dark hair and light skin. But electrolysis doesn't care about your color, it works on everyone. Whether your hair is blonde, red, grey, or dark, and no matter what your skin tone is, we can get you smooth.

Absolutely. Many of my clients deal with hair growth caused by body changes or hormones. I’ve been there too! We’ll work together to stay ahead of the growth and get your confidence back.

6. What should I do before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

Don't pluck or wax: I need to see the hair to zap it! Let it grow just a little bit (about the length of a grain of rice).
Drink water: Hydrated skin makes the treatment work better and feel easier.
Be clean: Arrive with fresh, clean skin—no makeup or heavy lotions on the area we’re treating.

7. What about after my appointment?

Your skin might look a little pink for an hour or two, which is totally normal.

Hands off: Don’t touch or pick at the area.
No makeup: Give your skin a 24-hour break from makeup or scented perfumes.
Cool it down: If you feel a little warm, you can use ice and some plain Aloe Vera (provided after your first treatment) to soothe the skin.

8. Why does it say that the consultation is $25?

Consultations are free, however, the 48hr cancellation policy applies (see above). If you cancel or no show the card on file will incur a fee of $25.

Yes! Even if you’re an electrolysis pro, a fresh consultation is a must before we start. Here’s why:
Your body changes: Health and skin can shift over time, and I want to make sure I have your most up-to-date info so I can treat your skin safely.
A fresh start: Since I don’t have your previous records on file, this session lets us sit down and talk about your specific goals for your time here at SinTi Hair Inc.
A custom plan: I want to make sure the way I work matches exactly what your skin needs right now.
Think of it as our "getting to know you" session so we can hit the ground running and get you those permanent results you’re looking for! You can book a treatment same day right after your consultation, no worries!
