PCOS (PMOS) & Hormonal Hair Removal in Cicero, IL

Unwanted hair from PCOS (PMOS) or hormonal changes can be frustrating and exhausting, especially when shaving, waxing, and plucking never seem to end. At Sinti Hair, I offer patient, judgment-free electrolysis to permanently remove existing hair from the chin, jawline, upper lip, neck, and more. With 9 years of experience, I'll help you build a realistic plan that fits your life.

Why hormonal hair is different

Hormonal conditions can cause thicker, darker, faster-growing hair, and sometimes new follicles activate over time. Electrolysis permanently removes each treated follicle, but because hormones can continue to trigger new growth, some clients benefit from occasional maintenance visits. I'll be upfront about what to expect so there are no surprises.

Why electrolysis?

  • Permanent: Electrolysis is the only method the FDA recognizes as permanent hair removal.

  • Works on every hair color: Including the light, fine, or gray hairs laser often can't treat.

  • Works on all skin tones

  • Precise: Ideal for the small, sensitive areas where hormonal hair often appears.

Common areas I treat

Chin, jawline, upper lip, sideburns, neck, chest, abdomen, and others.

What to expect

  1. Consultation: We talk about your hair growth, history, medications, and goals. I'll give you an honest estimate of the time involved.

  2. Treatment plan: Hormonal hair often needs consistent, regular visits at first, then fewer as hair thins. Weekly appointments become bi-weekly, then every three weeks to once a month, to every 6-8 weeks.

  3. Support along the way: Progress isn't always a straight line, and I'll adjust your plan as we see how your hair responds.

A note on care

Electrolysis removes hair; it doesn't treat PCOS or any hormonal condition. I recommend staying in touch with your healthcare provider, and I'm glad to work alongside your care plan. Most of my clients share that the greatest gain isn't just the smooth skin, it’s the freedom. It’s the ability to go to a social event without checking the light for 'unwanted hairs,' or the relief of throwing away the tweezers for good.
